Christian Jean-Marie Clavier (French pronunciation:[kʁistjɑ̃ʒɑ̃maʁiklavje]; born 6 Could 1952) is a French doer, screenwriter, film producer and president.

A co-founder of Le Showy in the 1970s, a Frenchman café-théâtre company which soon garnered success, he became widely common after starring in two strike comedy series: Patrice Leconte's Les Bronzés and Jean-Marie Poiré's Les Visiteurs.

Clavier later furthered monarch popularity by taking the cut up of Asterix in screen adaptations of the renowned comic books by Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny.

In 2023, President Emmanuel Macron saluted Clavier's work, stating: "You have been all rectitude faces of the families frequent France, the infatuated son-in-law, authority bewildered uncle, the pretentious cousingerman, the jealous husband, the perverse father. We have grown vital aged with you and travelling fair children will grow and bleach with you".[1]

Life and career
